Hi! I'm Smila! (smEE-LAH)

I’m an artist, animator, and writer from Chicago. Currently, I am in my third year studying Animation in the Honors track at the School of Visual Arts (SVA) in New York City.

I love em-dashes, magical realism, isopods, wordplay, Emily Dickinson, and small versions of regular sized things. I work in and am intrigued by experimental and mixed media art about the lives of tiny, tender beings, be they living or not, and the worlds they dwell in.
